Dali started with a 5-4-1 defensive formation, aiming to counterattack. However, Qujing struck early, netting twice in the 9th and 12th minutes to take a 2-0 lead. In the 28th minute, Dali’s No. 25 Zhou Minghao seized an opportunity to slot home, pulling one back to 1-2. The first half ended with Dali trailing by one.

After the break, Qujing extended their lead in the 58th minute, making it 3-1. In the 85th minute, Dali orchestrated a slick passing move, with No. 18 Yang Zhen setting up No. 23 Ji Xiaoqian, who calmly finished to make it 2-3. Dali pressed for an equalizer but couldn’t find the net, leaving the final score at 2-3.

A total of 8,214 fans attended, with supporters from both sides displaying great sportsmanship in a lively atmosphere.
After the match, Dali forward Ji Xiaoqian said, “Qujing is a strong side. We followed the coach’s plan, playing on the counter and mixing long and short passes. Though we lost, we basically executed the tactics, and every player gave their all.” He also thanked the fans, adding, “Whether home or away, without their encouragement, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Dali assistant coach He Lidong told the press conference, “We faced a shortage of players tonight. Several guys played through pain for 90 minutes until they were substituted. We’re very satisfied with their spirit and discipline in executing the game plan.”
