Lokomotiv Moscow head coach Mikhail Galaktionov has praised the performance of midfielder Lucas Vera in the absence of Alexey Batrakov during the 29th round of the Russian Premier League. The Railwaymen secured a 1-0 victory over Baltika, with Batrakov missing the match due to yellow card accumulation.

— Why did you choose Pogostnov instead of Nenakhov for the lineup?
— We had been practicing both options until the last day. But after analyzing the opponent, we realized it would be easier to play with a tall defender. However, an early yellow card could have led to a sending off, so we changed to Egor.
— How did Vera perform in Batrakov’s absence?
— Vera played well. He prefers to start deeper and build attacks, but he handled his segment quite well, — Galaktionov said, as reported by Championat correspondent Vladimir Chetverik.
