Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov scored a goal and added two assists in Game 3 of the second-round Stanley Cup series against the Colorado Avalanche, helping his team to a 5-1 victory and cutting the series deficit to 1-2. With those three points, the 29-year-old Russian now has 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) in nine playoff games this season, which ties him for second place on the franchise’s all-time list for most points in a single postseason.
Kaprizov matched Zach Parise’s total from 2014, when Parise also recorded 14 points (4+10) in 13 games. The Wild’s all-time playoff scoring record belongs to Marian Gaborik, who amassed 17 points (9 goals, 8 assists) in 18 games back in 2003.
In addition, defenseman Quinn Hughes has totaled 13 points (4 goals, 9 assists) in nine playoff games, setting a new franchise record for points by a blueliner in a single postseason.
