Tagano Dude, a 5-year-old colt trained by Toru Miya at Ritto Training Center, is set to challenge the Grade 1 Takarazuka Kinen (2,200 meters turf at Hanshin Racecourse) on June 14. The horse, who finished sixth in the Tenno Sho (Spring), is currently out at pasture but remains in good condition. “I checked on him last week, and there were no problems at all,” the trainer said. The Miya stable will also run Shake Your Heart, a 6-year-old horse who won the Kinko Sho. This marks the stable’s first participation in the summer grand prix since Houei Cosmos finished 13th in 1998, and for the first time in 28 years, they will have two runners in the race.
